I-Micro - Mini Dental Implant OCO Biomedical

With the release of our I-Mini® Dental Implant System in 2002, OCO Biomedical introduced the first “mini” implant into the US market. Now, after recognizing overwhelming demand from our customers for an implant smaller than our 3.0mm I-Mini®, OCO Biomedical offers the I-Micro, available in 2.2mm and 2.5mm diameter.

Priced favorably, the I-Micro is truly an affordable alternative to the mini implants offered by our competitors. However, because the I-Micro can be placed using the same wrenches and drivers as Imtec MDI and Intra-Lock MDL, your investment in new instrumentation is minimal.

The I-Micro Dental Implant

We consider the I-Micro to be the first step in the logical progression to larger implants and believe it fills a unique niche in the dental implant market. We guarantee solid performance from the I-Micro, a product we manufacture here in the United States at OCO Biomedical. Rest assured that the I-Micro is no ordinary wood screw; machined out of grade 5 titanium and put through OCO Biomedical’s proprietary surface treatment, this “micro” implant offers an aggressive thread pattern for added stability and is available in both Crown and Bridge and O-Ball.

Additionally, the I-Micro analog has both a Crown and Bridge head and O-Ball head (on the same analog), which not only simplifies the overall restoration process but reduces costs to you and streamlines inventory tracking. In an even further effort to ease the placement process, we designed the I-Micro O-Ball to be used with either a 002 or 003 size Cap and O-ring.

  • Implant analog has both a Crown and Bridge head and an O-Ball head
  • 002 or 003 size Cap and O-ring can be used on the O-Ball head (002 is more retentive, 003 is less retentive)
  • Recommended instrumentation: 1.8mm pilot drill or 1.8mm osteotome for the maxilla
