I-Mini’s Auger-like/Bull Nose Tip
Compared to most of our competitor’s “wood screw-like tips,” the I-Mini’s safe, non-forward cutting (patent pending) auger bull-nose tip condenses and mechanically locks into the bone – resulting in superior osseointegration and immediate stabilization at the base of the implant.
Placing an implant like a wood screw essentially wedges the tip of the implant into the bone placing pressure (resorption) on the bone. In contrast, after the I-Mini®’s patent pending bull nose auger tip bottoms out, the extra half turn pulls bone up and around the tip, putting tension on the condensed bone, promoting bone growth around the tip.
Stabilization at the collar of the implant is established with the 2mm machined periolock that can be countersunk into the cortical bone. Combined with the bull-nose auger tip, Dual Stabilization is biomechanically formed, resisting lateral occlusal forces placed on the abutment.
The I-Mini® is long-term, self-tapping, and gamma radiated with sterile packaging designed for direct implant placement capability. The I-Mini® can be used in thin ridge application, or for those patients that cannot afford a conventional dental implant, but still require the performance of a predictable immediate load implant.
