Solid dental implant performance starts at the tip of OCO Biomedical’s patent pending, one and two piece Dual Stabilization® dental implants. After bottoming out to the final depth created by our pilot drill and osteotomy former, when the implant is torqued, the extra half turn of our unique, patent pending Bull-nose/Auger tip pulls bone up and around the tip putting tension on the condensed bone. Combined with the locking action of the Mini Cortic-O Threads® at the collar, Dual Stabilization® is established, creating a biomechanical lock into the bone, stimulating bone growth.
Nobel Biocare’s “self-drilling self-cutting” NobelActive implant can be maneuvered to change direction into bone and can be drilled deeper into the osteotomy using the drilling blades on its apex. Changing an implant’s direction into bone creates voids that can compromise initial stability, and possible implant mobility. The NobelActive’s drilling tip could also lead to unsafe placements depths. OCO Biomedical’s ISI and TSI, Dual Stabilization® dental implants use an osteotomy former which enhances the stabilization at the auger tip and collar of the implant, and maximizes thread to bone fixation for true immediate load performance and stability.
